Liz Newport, our Cumbria-based garden design specialist

UncategorisedComments (0)

Garden designer, Liz Newport, is one of the partners involved in putting together the Cumbria Life Home & Garden Show 2015.  Liz runs her business, known as Buzy Lizzie,  from home near Penrith and has clients across Cumbria.  She offers “dream gardens by design” and has the expertise to transform any garden from an urban back yard to a patch of wild Cumbrian hillside.

One of Liz’s specialities is designing a garden to reflect the local landscape and geology.  Her designs always ensure that as many of the hard landscaping materials as possible are recycled from the previous garden and re-used on site and she also prides herself on creating wildlife-friendly gardens that make the most of the north of England’s native shrubs and plants.  Added to all that, Liz has a reputation for designing gardens that look established in their location from the first summer if it is at all possible.

Liz often works with her husband, Phil and his team of landscapers.  Trading as Wildroof Landscapes, Phil’s award-winning business specialises in complete garden makeovers for domestic clients and they also build bespoke green roofs too – and he’ll be exhibiting at the Show too!

“There are so many great garden-related businesses in the north of England and I am thoroughly enjoying being a part of bringing them together for the Show,” says Liz.

Further information on many of the garden exhibitors will be posted here by Liz in the weeks to come. To buy advance tickets, saving £1 on the £5 normal price, use the link below.
